How to remove blackheads from pores? 5 tools to help

BAre you worried about blackheads on your face? Do not worry – anyone can get comedones, but this does not mean that it is useless to fight them. Daily cleansing and proper grooming will help reduce their appearance.

BeautyHack explains how to remove blackheads from your pores and how to get rid of them at home.

What is a black point?

Pores are small openings of the excretory ducts of the sweat glands on the surface of a person’s skin that often become clogged due to dirt, excess oil, cosmetics, or dead skin cells. As a result, a dense plug is formed, which oxidizes under the influence of oxygen and turns into a black point.

In cosmetology, an open comedone is called a black dot, which means that such a plug can come out. Most often, this type of acne appears in the area of the nose, cheeks or chin – in places where the pores are slightly more enlarged and the sweat glands work more actively.

Reasons for the appearance of black dots

Blackheads and enlarged pores on the face are most often found in women with oily and combination skin – the active production of sebum clogs the pores, but with improper care, comedones can also appear in representatives of dry skin types. Dermatocosmetologist Viktoria Goncharuk spoke in more detail about comedones – here

Improper nutrition. One of the most common reasons for the appearance of blackheads is an improper diet (about which foods improve skin condition, read here). Abuse of fast carbohydrates, such as fast food, starchy foods and sugars, leads to unwanted rashes on the face and the formation of comedones, as well as digestive problems.

Improper facial care. Perhaps the reason for the appearance of blackheads lies in the negative influence of environmental factors, poor cleansing of the face or improper removal of makeup (for products that gently and effectively remove makeup, read on link). The right skin care products can help prevent comedones.

Hormonal background. Changes in hormonal levels can often be accompanied by increased production of sebum, which often leads to clogged pores.

How to clean your pores at home?

Nowadays, there are many ways to remove blackheads at home. But whichever option you choose, the stages of the procedure do not change: first you need to remove all makeup, then wash with a special tool, and then steam your face with a warm towel or steam from the shower to expand the pores and better clean them of impurities.

Cosmetical tools. The beauty industry does not stand still, which is why most cosmetic brands release products that cleanse and tighten pores. Many of them are suitable for daily use (you will find out which pore cleansers are the experts of choice) here).

Homemade recipes. Using homemade scrubs and masks, you can achieve an equally impressive result, and the preparation of such products will not take much time.

The most common and effective mask is made from milk and gelatin. In 100 ml. add two tablespoons of gelatin and leave the mixture for 20 minutes. As soon as the gelatin swells, heat the container in a water bath until the grains are completely dissolved. Apply the finished mask on the face in two layers – apply the second layer only after the first layer is dry. Apply a thicker layer of mask to problem areas of the skin. Leave it on for 30 minutes and try to completely relax your face, not laughing or talking. Carefully remove the dried mask and enjoy the effect.

Clay masks are also very popular – the result after their application is not long in coming. To make a clay mask that will clear your pores from blackheads, you will need: 1 tablespoon of cosmetic clay and 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. Now just mix the ingredients together until smooth and apply the mask on slightly damp face skin in an even layer. Wait 10 minutes and then wash off with lukewarm water. Finish off with a moisturizer.

Make a face scrub using sea salt, low-fat kefir, or yogurt to treat blackheads and blackheads if you repeat the exfoliation process several times a week. Apply it to your face with a brush and gently massage your nose, cheeks and chin for five minutes. Then leave the scrub on your face for another 10 minutes and then rinse.

A lotion made from cucumber and lemon juice will cleanse your skin and help prevent comedones. Also, such a lotion effectively fights against the already appeared blackheads and pleasantly refreshes the skin of the face. Wipe your face with this product daily for a month, and it is better to store homemade lotion in the refrigerator.

A regular ice cube will help to shrink pores and improve skin health – wipe your face with it every day, morning or evening. For a healing effect, you can make ice cubes from herbal decoctions, such as chamomile or string.

And remember that the best way to get rid of the problem is to prevent it from occurring, so do not forget to thoroughly care for your skin in the morning and in the evening, as well as observe your drinking regime and touch your face with your hands as little as possible.
