Yesterday I created a poll “To be or not to be a week of reviews for Huda Beauty cosmetics” in Stories and 92% voted “for”. Therefore, I am announcing this week as Hudo Beauty and the second product that I decided to review – the Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter palette.
The Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter palette was created for those who cannot imagine their makeup without skin radiance. Well, love will not happen to you if you have never been interested in this topic in your life. I, of course, will try to influence you so that you get to know this part of the makeup better by sending in your past articles:
I am for everyone to be familiar with this or that part of the makeup, so that afterwards they decide whether it is yours or not. I hate it when they tell me: I don’t like the highlighter, though I understand very little about it and it seems that I used it once in my life or didn’t use it … in short, I don’t remember, but I don’t love it!
Still, before making a verdict, you need to understand the essence of this product, and only after that you should be interested in reviews and purchases.
Description of the palette Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter palette
What is the trick of the palette and what does 3D have to do with it? I’m telling you.
The palette is “arranged” in such a way that you can create a 3D glow effect. How exactly, you will see in the photo below. To do this, you need to use all the shades to create this very effect. I know that some people buy palettes and use one color to the holes without ever trying to use all the colors at once.
At such moments, I am glad that I became a make-up artist and can reveal the product to you from a professional point of view. If I did not have this knowledge, the review would be limited to “like” and “dislike”.
Each Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter palette contains 4 colors.
A creamy refill (top left) acts as a base for applying a powdery highlighter. Many people perceive it as an independent product and criticize it for poor color performance. In principle, it should not be highly pigmented, since it serves as a base.
You can apply powdery highlighters as you wish, you can over cream or solo. Depending on the method of application, you can adjust the intensity – from light translucent to rich.
How to use the Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter palette
Cream I apply with a damp beauty blender over foundation on NOT powdered skin. The brush refuses to pick up the product. At all.
I also apply dry ones with a wet beauty blender to achieve maximum glow. In my life, I don’t take that risk and go for a highlighter brush, preferring a moderate shine.
Inside there are two types of texture: powdery and creamy. Cream is the base. In all palettes, it is in the lightest shade. It can be attributed to a creamy consistency that melts upon application and merges with the skin tone.
Powdery highlighters cannot be classified as veils with a silky finish. Their texture is coarser but velvety. When applied fanatically, they can accentuate pores and uneven skin. Good preparation with perfectly applied tone is required.
All shades are highly pigmented so that they can be used instead of eyeshadow.
Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter palette – Summer Solstice
An unusual palette can scare you with contrasting colors, but in fact they can be so beautifully arranged that a wow effect is guaranteed. To do this, you need to superimpose one shade on top of another for an iridescent holographic glow of the skin. With the help of a beauty blender, I manage to achieve a 3D effect much easier and faster than with a brush.
- St Tropez – golden cream
- Malibu – bronze
- Copacabana – delicate pink
- Mykonos – holographic purple lilac
Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter palette – Golden Sands
The palette is suitable for warm skin tones with a yellowish golden undertone. If I had not been in Dubai, I am sure that I would not have been able to use it in St. Petersburg due to the lack of sunny days.
- Fuji – creamy bronze gold with metallic pearl luster
- Seychelles – golden
- Tahiti – deep bronze
- Zanzibar – coral
Huda Beauty Highlighter Palette – Winter Solstice
Holders of a cold undertone will appreciate the proposed palette and enjoy the calm, but at the same time, eye-catching shades. They all look very cool together if applied with a mini-sponge.
- Frosted Kiss – creamy frosty pink
- Arctic Glow – iridescent warm blue
- Northern Lights – holographic duochrome from light gold to bronze
- Winter Rose – dusty rose with a silvery overflow
3D Highlighter Palette Bronze Sands
Palette exclusively for dark and tanned skin. This is exactly what I had before quarantine, when we spent the whole weekend on the beach. But as soon as I brightened two tones, I lost interest in her.
- Barbados – creamy golden bronze
- Maldives – light golden
- Aruba – bronze
- Bora Bora – copper-bronze
- Huge size refills – 8 grams each
- Interesting palette, especially in palettes where holographic shades are present
- Controversial for the Slavic appearance, the gamut. To make the highlighter look like a natural one on the skin, you need 100% compatibility with the skin tone, otherwise it will look foreign.
- Packaging, which after a while looks untidy, the highlighter stains it when used.
The Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter palette is about compatibility with your skin tone. You need to approach the purchase intelligently and answer the question: is this palette suitable for me? If yes, then you will enjoy using it and learn how to create a 3D glow.
