A drooping eyelid – what could be more understandable. In fact, few people know what a drooping eyelid looks like and how it differs from all the others.
Despite the huge number of articles titled “Makeup for the Impending Age”, “Makeup for Eyes with a Hood”, “Correction of the Looming Eyelid with Makeup” … none of them talk about the most important thing! About what types of the impending century are.
So, before you are the 4 most common forms of the overhanging eyelid, which are worth taking a closer look at and understanding – do you possess one of them?
If yes, then you are enrolled in the club “Hello, I’m so many years old and I have an overhanging eyelid!”
In order to finally dot the “i” I will give my definition of what is an overhanging eyelid?
The drooping eyelid is one of the forms of the eyes, where the upper eyelid hangs over the movable eyelid, overlapping either the central part (Fig. 1), or the outer or inner corner (Fig. 2-3), or the entire movable eyelid (Fig. 4) …
“For this reason, the eyes look small and expressionless” – so the majority thinks. In fact, everything can be solved if you do not make mistakes in eye makeup.
There are several rules that will make the makeup for the impending century varied and interesting to perform.
- Do your makeup with open eyes this way you can control the shape of the shading. Closing your eyes and painting over the crease of the eyelid, you will find that the shadows have gone far beyond its limits and “fled” to the eyebrows. Especially if you have a small space under your eyebrow.
- Do not apply pearlescent and light shadows to the overhanging eyelid, thereby you will draw even more attention to it. Leave the pearlescent textures for the moving part of the eyelid, and use light shadows for the inner corner of the eye and under the eyebrow.
- Avoid thick lines on the lower eyelid. Don’t underestimate the bottom eyeliner by extending it towards the outer corner of the eye. Our task is to balance the heavy part of the upper eyelid with the lower one. Use soft and muted shades to keep the lower eyelid from contrasting with the upper.
- Curl your upper lashes with eyelash tweezers or curling mascara for a more expressive look. If you can glue bundles, then that would be ideal.
Use certain types of brushes, which I described in the article “Choosing an overhanging eyelid makeup brush“.
You are now ready for the next two parts “Arrows for the impending century, like those of Hollywood stars!” and “Smoky eyes for the impending century. Makeup schemes and examples.“
So stock up on muffins, the day will be long …
