Today is an unusual post about the worst makeup brushes Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman. Despite all my love for the brand, there is a lot of black sheep in the family.
Worst Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman brushes for face, eyes and lips
Real Techniques Silicone Eye Liner Brush
The brush that made a promise to all Real Techniques fans that it would paint the cleanest arrows in the world. And the silicone tip will help with this. It is based on high technology!
According to the idea, the silicone tip should slide over the skin of the eyelids. The line should be straight and smooth.
But unfortunately, whatever technologies are involved in its creation, they will not correct the situation. The brush does not pick up the product very well and gives it very poorly, in this case it is a gel liner.
To achieve an ultra-precise line, you will have to draw once, then a second, third, and so on until it becomes completely filled with an arrow without gaps.
- it takes more than the allotted time
Conclusion: I found another use for it – to apply eyelash glue. It distributes the glue perfectly evenly and allows you to correct blemishes.
Real Techniques Retractable Lip Liner Brush
Brush that is identical in bristle thickness to the Core Collections brush.
Therefore, it is not immediately possible for her to apply a dense layer of lipstick, since its thickness does not allow to collect the required amount of product.
Because of this, I prefer lip brushes as “flatter” and thinner as possible. My reference is MAC # 318 Retractable Lip.
The mechanism is all right. True, the brush can be carried with you without a cap, since it hides inside and does not appear until you decide to push it out yourself.
Conclusion: unsuccessful pile thickness for applying lipstick in a dense and even layer. I use it to create the effect of kissed lips.
Foundation brush Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman Your Base / Flawless, Expert Face Brush
A slightly odd but interesting example is the Real Techniques Your base / Flawless Foundation Brush.
Strange, because its shape, well, in no way meets the requirements of the brush for the foundation. See for yourself.
Interesting because she copes with facial contouring when it comes to creams. It perfectly applies and blends blush and is even suitable for sculpting the nose, albeit with a careful application of the sculpting agent.
Only you need to keep it not straight, but at an angle, practically lying, which gives a positive result.
Conclusion: Despite the fact that it can be used, I do not think this brush is unique and special.
All three brushes were a big surprise for me. None of them satisfied me 100%, which happened with other Real Techniques brushes.
And if they were not provided for review, then my sadness would have no limit. Even in spite of their ridiculous cost, I got used to the idea that this brand is capable of something more. But not this time.
How do you like the new products from Real Techniques?
